Land at Changi (SIN), routinely rated the world's best airport and worth arriving early for on the way out. Two things Indian passport holders must have before flying: a Singapore visa — there is no visa on arrival, it goes through an authorised agent, costs from around ₹3,100 and takes 3–5 working days — and the free SG Arrival Card, filed online within three days of arrival. Since 30 January 2026 airlines flying from India can refuse boarding at the gate if the SGAC is not on file. Changi to the centre is 20–30 minutes.
Gardens by the Bay's Supertree Grove runs its Garden Rhapsody light and sound show free at 19:45 and 20:45 — arrive fifteen minutes early for a spot under the canopy. The two conservatories are separately ticketed: Cloud Forest holds a 35-metre indoor waterfall, Flower Dome the seasonal displays. Merlion Park sits across the water with Marina Bay Sands behind it. Singapore's MRT reaches all of it and is faster than any taxi.
Sentosa is the resort island off the southern coast, reached by the Sentosa Express monorail, the cable car from Mount Faber, or on foot across the boardwalk. Universal Studios Singapore and S.E.A. Aquarium are the anchors, both needing most of a day if you do them properly. The south-shore beaches are man-made and calm. Book the big attractions ahead; walk-up queues in school holidays are long.
The three quarters that explain the city. Chinatown holds the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Sri Mariamman, Singapore's oldest Hindu temple, on the same street. Little India runs along Serangoon Road around the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple. Kampong Glam centres on the gold-domed Sultan Mosque with Haji Lane's shophouses behind it. Eat at hawker centres — Maxwell, Lau Pa Sat or Newton; hawker culture has been UNESCO-listed since 2020.
Breakfast and check-out, then Changi — 20–30 minutes, and the one airport where turning up early is a pleasure rather than a chore. Jewel sits landside between terminals and holds the Rain Vortex, a 40-metre indoor waterfall, so allow time for it. Three hours for check-in.
